For the contract signature block, you’d need to see the whole block because it could either be the place where you put the name of the entity or where you sign your personal name. Most of the time it’s a signature. For instance, let’s say Larry Johnson is the CEO of Acme Inc. and he is signing a document.
In Example 1 (the most common in my experience) the block looks like this:
Acme, Inc.
By: _______________ [Larry signs here]
Name: Larry Johnson [Larry types his name here]
Its: CEO
but it could be example 2.
By: Acme, Inc. [Larry writes the name of the company]
Signature: ________________ [Larry signs here]
Name: Larry Johnson
Its: CEO
